Our Web Samples project contains a set of convenient code snippets to get you started. The set of reference apps is quite extensive and covers things like getting playback up and running with DRM, subtitles and alternative audio tracks, enabling preview thumbnails, achieving instant playback through our Caching API, a rich set of ad insertion examples and an even more extensive list of samples how our UI can be customized. To top it all off, there are a handful of integration samples available to integrate with SSAI, streaming servers and much, much more.

The Android Samples project contains a solid overview to get you started on the Android platform. It explains all of the basics of getting started with Android Studio and getting your application on your device. Samples are included for a rich set of features, starting with basic playback, to more complex features and capabilities such as ad insertion, UI modifications, handling DRM, enabling casting capabilities, providing download-to-go functionality to your viewers as well as a nice Simple OTT application combining all of this. If you are looking to get started with Low Latency on Android (or Android TV), our Android Low Latency Starter project might also be a good place to start, containing additional functionality to tune latency.

Android TV can be a complex beast. To get started, head over to our Android TV Sample project. It contains information on setting up Android Studio, importing a THEOplayer license you can use on Android TV and information on building and deploying for Android TV. It also contains a sample application which you can just build and deploy to get you up and running quickly. For all of your low latency needs, you can also head over to our Android TV Low Latency Starter project which showcases functionality to tune your latency and bring synchronous viewer experiences.

Our iOS Samples contain a rich set of different sample projects which are a great place to start. They explain start to finish how to set up XCode, import the THEOplayer library and make use of of great features and integrations so you can get playback up and running efficiently with subtitles, DRM, ad insertion, casting and Airplay integrations, handling offline playback, customizing the UI with Picture in Picture and custom full screen handling and much much more. When you are planning to work with Tizen, you can find all of the basics in this project, from installing Tizen Studio to building and launching on a device or emulator. It contains a few sample applications showcasing how to set up an application to get you started.

Our webOS Sample project is a great starting point if you are planning to use WebOS. It contains guides to help you set up your development environment, how to build, deploy and debug your applications and contains a scaffolding app which showcases how you can get started with playback.
